City of Apopka Workshop/Seminars
 | The city of Apopka has began a sponsorship with the University of Florida/IFAS Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Program. As part of this sponsorship we will be holding workshops on a quarterly basis (city-wide) and will also be available to schedule individual community workshops/seminars. I think that this may be of interest to many residents in the Rock Springs Ridge community. We receive many calls from residents in RSR in regards to water use and their landscapes. This may be a great way to help educate the homeowners on how to enhance their landscapes by using proper irrigation, fertilizer, and pesticide practices. Go to the UF/IFAS Web Site if you would like to read more on some of the topics discussed. (Right plant - right place, water efficiently, fertilize appropriately, manage your pests, etc.). The workshops will be presented by Teresa Watkins from the Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Program. |
